The Effect of Using “Student Response Systems (SRS)” on Faculty Performance and Student Interaction in the Classroom

Enhancing faculty performance and student interaction during the lecture is essential to achieve sustainable learning development. The current study aims evaluate effect of using “Student response systems (SRS)” on in classroom. members at King Saud University were encouraged join a university-scale educational project that involve utilizing SRSs within their classes. From Fall 2016 2019, total 371 19,746 students enrolled study. By end each semester, satisfaction surveys distributed perceptions SRS class. members’ students’ rates 75.7% 38.1%, respectively, represented 18 different colleges from disciplines university. Furthermore, covered wide range levels for bachelor’s degrees ranging 1–10. demographics showed 60% participating 64% females. Interestingly, majority (40%) (44%) belong health colleges. Among most beneficial effects SRSs, it increased interaction, focus, participation stimulated desire attend prepare lecture. It also helped improve teaching strategies enabled them know weaknesses or strengths students, which turn led improvement entire process. as well recommend applying other courses future semesters. These findings generally consistent over whole studied seven offer potential tool practices, enhance engagement, development among disciplines.
